Testify against anti-choice bills this week

Join us and all of our partners on Thursday to testify (virtually) against two anti-choice bills — one that would criminalize doctors who are helping patients in sometimes tragic circumstances (HB 136), and another unconstitutional bill that infringes on patient privacy and does nothing to advance patient safety (HB 171).

Contact Julia Maxon, Planned Parenthood’s Lead Grassroots Organizer, to learn how. And have a look at this video with tips on how to feel more comfortable testifying — you’ll see some familiar people offering their advice:

The official deadline for registering to testify is noon on Wednesday, Feb. 3, so don’t delay!

Here’s what else you can do:

  • Get in touch with us if you’d like to talk about running for office. We’re actively recruiting in a number of districts, and we’re putting together a slate of early trainings for women who are curious about running. We’re here to support your success!

  • Make a monthly gift to Carol’s List, and be part of our work to recruit progressive women to run for office.

And one more bill to take action on

  • Tell your state senator to vote NO on the anti-trans bill HB 112, which is a terrible bill that’s now over in the Senate. Use Rossi’s talking points below if you like: Montana stands to lose millions, the bill is unconstitutional, and this bill bullies trans kids.

Keep paying attention. Thank you for taking action against these and other bad bills, and thank you for supporting our work!
