Join us March 1 for Coffee with Carol’s List

Please join us Sunday, March 1 -- Mansfield Metcalf weekend in Helena -- for our annual Coffee with Carol's List!

Our program this year is Three under 35: New women leaders in Montana. We're so pleased to highlight two first-time women candidates we're excited about for 2020, and one sitting legislator we supported when she was a first-time candidate last cycle.

7th Annual Coffee with Carol's List

Sunday, March 1

9:30 - 11 am

The Heath, 650 Logan, Helena

Suggested contribution: $50

Our Three under 35 speakers will talk about why it's important that women run, and share their stories about why they've stepped up to run. They are:

Barbara Bessette pic.jpeg

Barbara Bessette is currently serving as the representative for House District 24 (Great Falls). She was one of the first urban Native American women elected to the Montana House. She is running for a second term. She serves on the Children, Families, Health and Human Services interim committee. She currently works in substance abuse prevention.

Alice Buckley is running to represent Bozeman's House District 63, which encompasses MSU and southwest Bozeman. Alice is running because she wants to have a voice in the conversation when decisions are made that affect her health, her future, and her community. She's motivated by creating space for everyone to have a voice in the political process and ensuring everyone has the ability to make choices about their bodies and their futures.

Jasmine Taylor (she/her) is a proud member of the Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) and has worked for Health and Human Services for eight years. She is the President of the Great Falls LGBTQ+ Center and an outspoken equal rights advocate. Jasmine is running for House District 22 in Great Falls.

We're honored to highlight these women. As more and more women -- both in Montana and nationally -- are running and winning, we feel there's no better way to mark this moment than to give these talented new women leaders a platform.
