Join us for our early training series!
Are you curious about running for office? Are you fed up with the bad bills coming out of the Montana Legislature, but you’re not sure where you can start working for lasting change?
We’re launching our first-ever Explore: Early Training Series just for you.
Whether you see yourself as a future candidate, volunteer, or staffer, this series of virtual trainings will give you an introduction to how you can plug into Montana politics — whether that’s in your local community, the Legislature, or higher office. And if the Montana Legislature is getting you down (and rightly so), action and community are good channels for those feelings.
Please join us! You’ll hear from our expert panelists, learn some skills, and be in community with other progressive Montana women. And you’ll be part of our network that supports progressive women to run and win.
Are you interested in running for office — but not sure where you can make a difference? Learn more about local and legislative offices when you join Forward Montana and Carol’s List for Level-Up Billings, a digital panel discussion featuring three amazing women making change happen in our community.
● Kendra Shaw: Billings City Council
● Emma Kerr-Carpenter: Montana Legislature
● Sylvia Noble: Lockwood School Board
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and be in community with like-minded folks in Billings hoping to connect with each other and make Billings the best it can be! *Disclaimer* While we are celebrating three particular women making change in Billings, we welcome, celebrate and respect all gender identities, please join us!
Join us on Thursday, March 11, from 5:30-7:00pm.
Running for office doesn’t have to mean running yourself down. Former Great Falls Rep. Barbara Bessette and Bozeman-area certified yoga therapist Darcie Warden talk about their experiences and their recommendations for ways you can stay mentally and physically healthy and resilient while you put in the work to run and win.
Register for this free event below (include your favorite motivating song in the message) for the Zoom link. Bring pen/pencil and paper, and we’ll see you on the 19th!
Thinking of running for office, but you’re not familiar with your county central committee? This informal panel session is for you! Depending on which county you live in, your local Democratic central committee can be a great resource for you as a potential candidate. We’re bringing you the expertise of three women who are active in these county structures: Helena Lovick (Great Falls, Cascade County), Alyson Roberts (Bozeman, Gallatin County), and Krystal Steinmetz (Havre, Hill County).
Cut and paste this into your calendar!
Join us on April 12 at 6:00 pm.
