Meet Renny, our summer intern!
What are you passionate about?
I am committed to learning about women’s issues and elevating stories from marginalized communities through writing and public speaking. I love to do work that constantly challenges my knowledge of intersectional feminism and my role in effectively projecting the experiences of women and people of color.
What are you most excited to learn about during your time at Carol’s List?
All of the people working at Carol’s List are incredibly dedicated to serving female candidates and the Montana community at large. I’m really excited to learn about their experiences with female representatives in politics and the barriers that women face during the election process. In today’s political climate, especially with the uncertainty of the 2020 elections, the work of organizations such as Carol’s List is more pertinent than ever.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I’ll be done with my undergraduate and law school education. I’ll probably be working for a law firm or the government as a civil rights attorney and writing in online and paper publications on the side. I hope that I can create some sort of tangible legislative/legal change for marginalized communities during my lifetime.
